Jean-Michel Rabaté，美国宾夕法尼亚大学英文及比较文学教授，美国人文与科学院院士（2008），现任Journal of Modern Literature执行主编、Modernism/Modernity及Textual Practice等期刊编委、美国Samuel Beckett Society主席、James Joyce Foundation理事以及费城Slought Foundation创始人和现任会长。Rabaté教授长期从事文学理论、现代主义等研究，主要研究领域包括现代主义、精神分析、现代艺术、哲学、塞缪尔·贝克特、埃兹拉·庞德以及詹姆斯·乔伊斯，已出版专著和编著30多部，论文近百篇，他近期的著作包括Lacan Literario (2007)、1913: The cradle of modernism (2007, Chinese translation 2013)、The Ethic of the Lie (2008)、Etant donnés: 1) l’art, 2) le crime (2010)、The Ghosts of Modernity（2010）、A Handbook of Modernism Studies（2013）、Crimes of the Future: Theory and its globalreproduction（2014）、Psychoanalysis and Literature; The Value of Samuel Beckett（2014）和1922: A Companion（2014）等。
